At the All-Girls Chess club we are developing critical thinking skills and building self-confidence which will serve them well in all future endeavors. Each chess move contributes practice at determining what makes a positive choice in accumulating an advantage and avoiding a pitfall on the board and in life. The small accumulation of advantage is what creates winning positions. These girls are winners and are learning to win even bigger.
With so many possibilities, no one can always make the best choice. Not even chess grandmasters. Sometimes you must consider making the right moves from an inferior position. With practice and study, our Chess Queens are prepared to overcome small setbacks and achieve better positions in every aspect of life.

Materials in this book have been arranged to teach chess tactics in a progressive fashion (How often do your students overlook simple mates?) and the ability to search for good moves. Young students need to learn how to add layers to the depth and width of their search, hence the orderly increase in difficulty of the problems presented.
